Good spot for food. Friendly staff and smiling faces. Nice little whole in the wall local spot. Open and bright area. Fairly bland, but decent for Hawai'i

It was my son who took me last week. The prices are good and food is amazing. I love that it's a family who owns and runs the place. I love that you can BYOB, Not that we did, but what a money saver for those who want a beer! I recommend the fired ice cream!

Good Mexican food is difficult to find in Hawaii. We found this place and tried it out. It had 4 stars! And it did not disappoint. We got tacos, chicken quesadillas and a burrito. The food tasted delicious and brought me back to good Mexican food in CA. The place was clean and nicely decorated. The waiter was super nice and helpful, made sure we enjoyed our meal.

Service is always spot on! Came in and got the last available table. Iced water and chips/salsa got dropped off. We ordered our meals and it came out piping hot in minutes. I ordered a carne asada burrito which came loaded with meat, veggies, and cheese on the side of refried beans, Spanish rice, and a scoop of guacamole and sour cream. Everything was delicious from the chips and salsa to our entrees. Can't beat the service, food, and prices.

Service: El Mariachi ll is hidden behind at the Aiea Mall right across the Aiea Medical Building. There is parking right in front, otherwise find parking in the larger lot. Once we entered we were instantly greeted and seated. Service was really fast from ordering to receiving. Since we were one of the first to get there before the dinner rush, the food came in a good 20minutes. Waitress came around couple times to check on us and refilled water. Food: was amazing! I also ordered from their daily special menu. We ordered the flauta, chimichanga, chili Reno with tamale, carne asada cheese fries, shrimp ceviche. Awww desserts was not what I expected. It was amazing. I got the fried ice cream and the sopapillas. If I was gonna go back, I would start with desserts! Overall: Food was filling, and enjoyable. The pork flauta was good, chimichanga was okay, chili relleno with tamales was awesome. Carne asada fries was perfect. The shrimp ceviche must be rated quickly, otherwise it will just be a wet mess! Lol Mood: 10++ out of 10, very satisfied.

Love coming here for my Mexican fix. Their chalupas are so good and so stuffed. They do not skimp on the filling. We also had ceviche which was huge and so fresh. They also give you free chips and their salsa is soo yummy. Be warned that the second batch isn't complimentary. My boyfriend had the carne asada which was huge but I still preferred my chalupa haha.

This is Nacho average place so let's taco bout it!! El Mariachi II is located right off Moanalua Road behind the load of buildings across Aiea Shopping Center since I wasn't really familiar with the area I Yelped my cravings and here pops up El Mariachi II...it seemed to be close from my current location though was baffled with the direction and now see where it was taking me lol. Walking in it was already filled with several folks seating with a few waiting for their takeout orders so I didn't take too much pics but their decor is brightly painted walls with some faux bricks accent and some fun accents was cute with a bunch of tables spaced out well is comforting. I was immediately greeted and seated and before I got to look at the menu you're served a generous basket of chips with salsa omg you just don't find that anywhere these days so I already was impressed. As I enjoyed munching on chips it did pivot my choices eliminating some items though was still indecisive as usual. Well if you're like me get the "Combination Plate" 2 items $14.95 or 3 $18.95 choice of Taco, Burrito, Chile Relleno*, Tamale*, Enchilada or Quesadilla (*limit one per plate) with your choice of meat (Grilled Steak or Chicken, Ground Beef, Shredded Beef or Chicken) all plates are served with Spanish Rice and Refried Beans. First choice is Chile Relleno...I came up clueless and my served asked if I wanted just cheese...??!? Yeah! my other choice I got the Enchilada and decided on shredded beef. Okay I'm absolutely clueless with what's authentic but let me tell you is that I DON'T EAT BEANS you'll never see beans on my plate but something tells me to give this place a try and I ate it all as I scooped each bite I was trying to analyze and figure out what makes this yummy...I don't know lol! It's not greasy or salty just great flavor, Chile Relleno was cheesy omg they don't skimp on the cheese...it was just perfect! Beef Enchilada is the absolute warm blanket of yumminess and that's all I pretty much have haha!! Ohhh the total food coma as this place wasn't my first choice this day but is now one of my favorites if I'm ever in the area I just love that you don't order from a window then to only figure out where to eat is frustrating, the staff is delightful and great food came out fast. Thank you!
